I teach foundational guitar, which means I focus on broad skills that apply to most basic genres, like rock and pop. I don’t specialize in styles that I’m less familiar with, such as advanced jazz or metal.

I’m comfortable teaching students ages 8 and up. If you’re under 18, you’ll just need permission from a parent or legal guardian.

That’s totally okay! These lessons are made for beginners. I’ll meet you right where you’re at and help you build up your skills step by step.

Yes, you’ll need your own guitar so you can practice between lessons. If you’re note sure what kind to get, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to help you choose one that fits your goals and budget.

Online lessons are held over video chat (like Zoom or Google Meet). You’ll just need a decent internet connection, your guitar, and a quiet space to play. I’ll send you any materials you need ahead of time.

Lessons are currently online only. However, if you happen to live in the Chicago area, feel free to contact me and we can try to work something out.

Lessons are 30 or 60 minutes long. Most students will benefit from weekly lessons, but I’m flexible based on your schedule and learning pace.

Things happen and life is unpredictable, so I understand if you need to reschedule. If you can, please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson.

There’s no catch! I want guitarists to have access to the resources I wish I had when I was learning. Helping others reach their musical goals is what I’m all about.
